Uncle Vanya in the Lincoln Centre Theatre

I recently had the opportunity to watch the Uncle Vanya production in Lincoln Theatre starring steve carrell as the uncle vanya. I found the acting and handling of the themes to be irreverent and whilst the staging and set up was wonderful and the lady who played the aunt mariya was excellent, the rest of the characters were either caricatures or better suited to television acting and lacked any subtlety or timing in their delivery.
